DONG Energy has invited tenders for subsea structural inspections on its offshore wind farms in Germany and Denmark.

Inspection work is required for three DONG’s wind farms: Borkum and Gode Wind in the German part of the North Sea and Anholt in the Kattegat, between Djursland the island of Anholt in Denmark. Therefore, the tender is divided into two separate lots, one for Germany and the other for Denmark.

The work, scheduled to be carried out between April and September 2016, consists of general visual inspection, marine growth inspection, inspection of cathodic protection system, and close visual inspection.

General visual inspection will be done on transition pieces, monopiles, boat landings, grout pipes, anode structures, grout seals, J-Tube and cable exit interfaces, cable route to seabed and erosion of seabed around foundations. Close visual inspection includes cleaning of grout seal followed by close visual inspection, and close visual inspection of cable protection and route systems.

DONG Energy added that other wind farms the company owns or operates in Denmark and Germany will be able to use the agreements.

Deadline for the submission of tenders is 17 December 2015.
