Sure Diamond, a 26m wind farm crew transfer vessel, has been delivered to its owner Sure Wind.
The StratCAT 26 vessel, built by Strategic Marine in Vietnam, completed sea trails in September 2015 and will be operating in Heligoland, Germany.
Sure Wind’s second StratCAT 26 vessel, Sure Dynamic, has also completed sea trials in Vietnam and is now being shipped to the UK.
Sure Diamond is the first ever UK-flagged vessel to be certified under the Interim Code for High Speed Offshore Service Craft (HS-OSC), according to BMT Nigel Gee, which was in charge of the design. It also has a certificate of compliance with the new German Code for Offshore Service Craft.
The vessel can carry up to 12 passengers and a further 12 offshore personnel in addition to the ship’s crew.
