Energinet.dk has awarded DKK 250 million (approx. EUR 33.5 million) in contracts for the supply of technical components for Kriegers Flak grid connection.
The components include transformers, reactors and switchgear for power stations that will connect the offshore wind farm with the Danish grid.
The Danish transmission company said this is the biggest purchase of AC components for power stations in its history. Total budget for Kriegers Flak grid connection is DKK 3.5 billion (approx. EUR 469 million).
The purchase of components is divided into seven contracts, some of which have been concluded as framework agreements.
CG will deliver power transformers and Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), ABB and Siemens are in charge of providing reactors, and Royal SMIT will provide a phase shifter transformer.
“With the placement of orders we have ensured timely deliveries, which means that we are ready to plug in Denmark’s largest offshore wind farm on time in 2018,” said Energinet.dk’s chief project manager Jens Christian Hygebjerg .
