DNV GL has acquired Gothia Power, a Swedish provider of advanced analysis and measurements for power production, power transmission and power consumption.
DNV GL President and CEO Remi Eriksen said: “This company’s expertise and services are a perfect match for DNV GL’s existing portfolio in the renewable power, transmission and distribution industries. I am therefore happy to announce this acquisition, which establishes DNV GL’s technical and strategic power system services in the Swedish and Baltic energy markets and further strengthens our leading position worldwide.”

DNV GL said that, as the world is transitioning into a low carbon future, its technical advisory services throughout the electricity value chain as well as certification and verification of power system technologies are essential for nations making strategic decisions about their power market policies and energy future.
