UK-based boat builder South Boats IOW Ltd has launched the 23m catamaran Seacat Magic ordered by the compatriot offshore energy crew transfer vessel operator Seacat Services back in February 2015.

Seacat Sevices placed the GBP 6 million order for the construction of two identical, DNV-GL class-certified catamarans.

Seacat Magic’s sister vessel, Seacat Mischief, was delivered to Seacat Services in late November 2015.

Once delivered, Seacat Magic will expand the company’s operational fleet to 11 and will be available for charter in both the domestic and wider European markets.

Seacat Services has four more catamarans on order at South Boats, the 23m Seacat Freedom and Seacat Liberty, and the 27m Seacat Enterprise and Seacat Weatherly.

The four newbuildings are scheduled for delivery throughout 2016 and 2017.
