The last of the 72 foundations for the 288MW Sandbank offshore wind farm was installed last Friday with the help of Bilfinger Marine & Offshore Systems, the company which was in charge of transporting and installing the monopile foundations and transition pieces.

Centrica Leaving Wind Energy

In its preliminary results for 2015 published today, Centrica confirmed the implementation of its strategy is on track, including exiting wind power generation, following the recent disposal of the Lynn and Inner Dowsing offshore wind farms, and the Glens of Foudland wind farm on land.

Sea Worker Salvage Operation Starts

Following a successful inspection of Sea Worker on February 10, a team of divers from Smit Salvage yesterday started to mount the equipment to remove the diesel oil from the offshore installation vessel that ran aground and capsized off Denmark, according to A2SEA.
