Following the decision by Scarborough Borough Council Cabinet in February to approve the design and lease for the development at Endeavour Wharf, Dalby Offshore Services has started preparing the site for its new headquarters at Whitby Port.
Site investigation works will commence in mid-April and are expected to go on for about one week. This will involve a drilling rig on Endeavour Wharf and some additional trenching work.
The core samples extracted by the drilling rig will be used to confirm the substrata below Endeavour Wharf and the information used to design the building foundations.
Dalby selected Crowther Turnbull Booth to manage the construction of the new headquarters. Cooper Consulting Engineers will be in charge of structural engineering, and Solmek will carry out ground investigations. EDCM will provide mechanical and electrical engineers for the project.
