MBT GmbH, part of the MacArtney Group, has acquired Bremen-based CPU GmbH, provider of equipment for underwater technical systems, as of 1 April 2016.

CPU GmbH remains an independent entity with Christoph Reuter carrying on his job as Managing Director of the company. CPU GmbH will relocate to the Innovation and Technology Centre of the University of Bremen and will keep their current name during a transition phase.

“The Bremen area is a hot spot for marine science and technology in Germany, with major research organisations, shipyards, system integrators and key players in offshore wind energy,” said Torsten Turla , Managing Director of MBT GmbH, MacArtney Germany. “We expect significant synergy from the acquisition and from having Christoph Reuter being part of the team in Germany.”
