Denmark’s Port of Esbjerg is currently a proverbial beehive of activity as major offshore wind turbine makers are working on a number of projects located in the North Sea and the English Channel.

The photo above was taken on August 02 and gives an overview of the installation projects currently being carried out at the port.

Siemens Wind Power is running installation projects on the 600MW Gemini offshore wind farm in the Dutch part of the North Sea and the 288MW Sandbank wind farm off the German North Sea coast.

At the same time, MHI Vestas Offshore Wind Power is preparing for installation projects on the 400MW Rampion offshore wind farm in the UK and the 165MW Nobelwind project off Belgium.

All in all, the photo shows seven jack-up vessels in action at the port.
