Kenz Cranes, a Dutch company specialising in custom made and fit-for-purpose hoisting and lifting equipment, has unveiled a new design for an advanced and multifunctional offshore gangway construction with an X-wing foundation.
The design of the fully motion compensated gangway will be used for personnel transfer to wind turbines.
The X-wing allows to keep maximum deck space on a vessel and brings an advantage for existing vessels in case of replacement, the company said. Because of this appliance a 360⁰ reach can be realized.
The DNV GL-certified gangway can also be used for full motion compensated offshore lifts with crane hook attachment.
