The annual Offshore Energy Exhibition and Conference (OEEC) opened its doors to visitors for the ninth time on Tuesday, 25 October 2016, in Amsterdam RAI, Amsterdam.
This two-day event is focused on the complete offshore energy industry, from oil & gas to wind and marine energy, and will be held on 25 and 26 October 2016 in the Europe Complex of the Amsterdam RAI.
The organisers held the inaugural Offshore Energy Opening Gala Dinner on Monday, 24 October, at Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam, to mark the opening of this year’s OEEC.
During the Gala Dinner, the first ever awards for the Best Innovation in Offshore Energy, the Offshore Energy Public Outreach, and the Offshore Energy Young Engineer were delivered to INTECSEA and Innospection with FlexIQ, the Maritime Museum in Rotterdam, and Alexia Aubault from Principle Power , respectively.
Aubalt won the award for her involvement in the WindFloat 1 floating wind turbine platform prototype project offshore Portugal.
Monday, 24 October, also saw the start of the two-day Offshore WIND Conference with interesting panels and presentations.
