Bladt Industries has published a photo of one of the 60 transition pieces that the company will manufacture for the Arkona offshore wind farm.

EEW SPC and Bladt are in charge of supplying the foundations for the project, with EEW delivering 60 monopiles and Bladt providing the transition pieces. Both companies started working on the project in August.

Installation of large components is scheduled to start in 2017.

The wind farm will comprise 6MW Siemens turbines, which A2SEA will start installing in 2018.

The EUR 1.2 billion offshore wind farm, owned and developed by E.ON and Statoil, will be fully commissioned in 2019.

The project, also known as Arkona-Becken Südost, is located in the Baltic Sea, 35 kilometers northeast of Rügen Island.
