German navigation system manufacturer Raytheon Anschütz, together with its Norwegian distributor Syberg, will supply its Synapsis Integrated Navigation System (INS) for Esvagt’s new Havyard 831 wind farm service operation vessel (SOV).
Raytheon Anschütz will supply the system with a total of six Synapsis NX Multifunctional Workstations for chart radar, ECDIS and conning, as well as X- and S-band NautoScan NX network-based radar transceivers, a fully redundant Standard 22 gyro compass system, and the adaptive, high precision NP 5500 trackpilot.
Three of Esvagt’s SOVs of the Havyard 832 design are already working on offshore wind farms across Europe. Siemens has chartered Esvagt Froude for a five-year contract to service the field and transport personnel during the constructing and operation of the offshore wind farm Baltic 2 in the Baltic Sea, and the Esvagt Faraday for similar jobs for the Butendiek project in the northern part of the German sector of the North Sea. Both vessels started operations in 2015 . Esvagt Njord started its contract for Dudgeon offshore wind farm in September 2016 .
In December 2015 , MHI Vestas signed a 10-year contract with Esvagt for an SOV that will be used to service Nobelwind and Belwind offshore wind farms in Belgium. The new Havyard 831 SOV is scheduled to be delivered and commence service in the second half of 2017.
