China’s COSCO (Nantong) Shipyard has won a contract to build one multi purpose wind farm support vessel (WFSV) for the Hong Kong-based Everbright Int’l (HK) Offshore.
The contract has now been declared effective, COSCO said, and the parties have agreed to keep the contract price confidential.
The unit is expected to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2018.
Under the contract, COSCO Nantong has also granted an option to Everbright pursuant to which the company may order another similar multi purpose wind farm support unit within six months from the contract.
Headquartered in Hong Kong, with a manufacturing base in China and design offices in Singapore and Vietnam, Everbright provides integrated full-service design, project management solutions and offshore fabrication for the global offshore and marine industries with a focus on self elevating units and similar vessels.
