Iberdrola has awarded Offshore Wind Consultants (OWC), part of Aqualis, with a framework agreement to provide engineering and project management services for the developer’s East Anglia offshore wind projects.
Under the contract, OWC will provide engineering consultancy services for the East Anglia ONE, East Anglia ONE North and East Anglia THREE offshore wind projects, as well as project management services for East Anglia ONE.
Ian Bonnon , managing director of OWC, said: “OWC is already providing geotechnical ancillary services on the East Anglia One project. We therefore have a solid understanding of the project.
“To be trusted with additional work is testament to the benefits of the excellent working relationship that the OWC team has built with this important client and we are looking forward to supporting Iberdrola on these future wind farm projects.”
OWC’s project management scope for East Anglia ONE includes project management, construction readiness assessment, specialist consultancy, production of technical reports and drafting of construction procedures and other key documents. Under the terms of the new agreement, there is also the potential to add additional support services through the life cycle of the project.
