Norway’s Atlantic Offshore has announced the sale and delivery of the 1984-built Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessel Ocean King to an unnamed German buyer which will use the vessel on offshore wind projects.
Prior to being laid up in August 2016, the vessel had continually served Statoil’s oil & gas projects for over 30 years.
The vessel was sold slightly above book value, Atlantic Offshore said.
Ocean King is 75 meters long with a gross tonnage of 2,295 tons.
She can accommodate 43 persons, has four main engines with 2,310 kW of power each and a pair of bow thrusters with a 1,000 BHP each.
