With the sector now largely moving into the operations and maintenance phase – in addition to construction – even more space for employment is being created and it is a win-win-win situation, with the skilled workforce, recruiters and the industry players all benefiting from the industry’s progress.
Atlas Professionals celebrated the official signing of the contract with Bibby Marine Services in London at the beginning of June. The recruitment company will crew the Bibby WaveMaster 1 service operations vessel (SOV), which will be deployed to support forthcoming offshore wind construction and O&M projects in the North Sea.
The recruiter has also been awarded framework agreements by DONG Energy for the developer’s offshore wind projects in Denmark, Germany and the UK.
With offices across the globe, Atlas is also ready to take on similar work in the emerging offshore wind markets, according to Emma Campbell, Renewables Business Manager at Atlas Professionals, who discussed the industry from a recruiter’s point of view at the Expertise Hub held during Offshore Wind Energy 2017 in London.
