Spanish manufacturer of seamless rolled rings, euskalforging, has signed a contract with the Dutch Sif Group to supply 16 flanges for the foundations for the 112MW EnBW Albatros offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
This project is an extension of the 497MW EnBW Hohe See offshore wind farm foundation flanges for which are currently being manufactured by euskalforging.
The Albatros wind farm comprises 16 Siemens SWT-7.0-154 wind turbines with a monopile design foundation. The EPCI foundation contract has been assigned to GeoSea and Siemens.
Hohe See and Albatros offshore wind farms , developed by EnBW, will be located around 90km north of the island of Borkum in the German North Sea covering an area of 42 square kilometres.
Under the terms of the contract, euskalforging will fabricate and deliver to Sif Group 16 flanges that will be integrated in the foundation.
