GustoMSC, the company behind the design of a number of vessels deployed on offshore wind projects, recently introduced a new self-propelled jack-up with a telescopic leg crane and has also used its expertise to develop a floating wind foundation.

The next-generation vessel will be able to handle ever-increasing offshore wind components, including both foundations and wind turbines, allowing for the high utilisation of a unit.

Equipped with an integrated telescopic leg crane, the NG-20000X vessel is capable of installing heavy foundations, and when the boom is fully extended it reaches adequate lifting height and capacity to install future generation wind turbine components.

The Tri-Floater design, a semi-submersible foundation enabling wind energy projects in deep water, draws back on the company’s experience in the oil and gas industry.

Find out more about GustoMSC and its designs for the offshore wind industry in the video above, featuring Thomas Lerchenmuller, the company’s Design Manager Construction Jack-Ups.
