Houston-headquartered offshore geotechnical & geophysical survey specialist, Benthic, has announced that it decided to officially expand into the offshore renewable energy market by establishing a new business line.
The company said it had recognised the potential of the emerging offshore renewables industry in the U.S. and has now opened a new office in Boston, Massachusetts. Benthic stated that this enables the company to be close to its customers, contribute to the local economy, as well as to facilitate establishment of strategic partnerships.
In addition, Benthic revealed that it is also actively targeting other renewables markets including Taiwan and Europe.
As part of this move, Paolo Casciotti, previously senior business development manager with Benthic, was recently appointed Manager of Offshore Renewables and relocated to Boston.
