Fred. Olsen Windcarrier’s fleet of seven Bayard class crew transfer vessels (CTVs) reached 1,000 days without a lost time incident (LTI) on 12 October.

The Bayards fleet carried out 39,605 landings, 140,570 transfers and the vessel crews have worked for over 205,934 hours, the company reported.

“A thousand days without an LTI shows that our motto of Think First, Act Safely is more than just words,” Even Larsen , CEO of Fred. Olsen Windcarrier said. “This achievement was only possible thanks to the efforts of our employees on board the Bayard vessels, who make sure passengers and colleagues are transported and transferred safely every day.”

The vessels are deployed on offshore wind projects in the UK, Belgium and Germany.
