Rotterdam-based RanaWorks B.V. has introduced a new concept to the market of inspection, repair and maintenance in the North Sea offshore wind and oil & gas markets.

The concept revolves around large floating maintenance bases, which will be permanently stationed in the North Sea to offer subsea and above waterline O&M services.

The newly formed RanaWorks is a joint-venture partnership between RANA Diving SpA from Italy and Workships Contractors BV from the Netherlands.

“Together, we are able to bring fresh ideas to the table in a market, which is in growing need for innovative solutions in order to significantly improve efficiency of installation and maintenance of wind parks and other assets,” said Philip Woodcock , general manager of RanaWorks.

“It goes without saying that both the founding companies are IMCA members and are certified to the international standards expected by the industry such as ISO 9001 and 14001, OHSAS 18001 and IRATA.”

RanaWorks delivers integrated solutions by the use of diving, observation and work-class ROVs, working at height and rope access services, through all stages of the offshore asset lifetime, ranging from preliminary surveys and installation support, to inspection, repair and maintenance and lifetime extension services and decommissioning. This includes non-destructive testing by means of ACFM, MPI, FMD, ultrasonic thickness, cathodic potential, ultrasonic flaw detection and other systems.
