Belfast Harbour has published a photo showing the heavy lift vessel Happy River arriving at the port with 12 transition pieces for the 714MW East Anglia ONE offshore wind farm.

The 140 meter-long vessel departed from Lamprell’s premises in Dubai and is currently in Harland and Wolff’s (H&W) building dock at Belfast in Ireland.

The first shipment of partly-assembled jacket foundations arrived in Belfast from Dubai earlier this month.

ScottishPower Renewables, the developer of the wind farm, awarded Lamprell with a contract to manufacture and supply 60 jacket foundations and accompanying piles back in November 2016, while the remaining 42 jacket foundations for the 102-turbine project are being delivered by Spanish joint venture between Navantia and Windar.

The 102 Siemens 7MW turbines, located 43km offshore Suffolk in the UK, are expected to be fully commissioned in 2020.
