Windcat Workboats has launched Windcat 41, the second crew transfer vessel (CTV) in its new MK3.5 series.
Windcat 41 is currently operating out of Barrow, UK, from where it will be performing operations and maintenance activities on the Ormonde offshore wind farm.
Besides Windcat 41, another vessel of this type is operating at an offshore wind farm in Germany, while the company plans to build at least three more vessels, with the Windcat 42 expected to become available this summer.
The Ormonde offshore wind farm comprises 30 turbines located 10km off Barrow-in-Furness, North West England, in the Irish Sea.
The 150MW wind farm has been operational since 2012.
Vattenfall owns a 51% share in the project, while Swedish pension group AMF owns the remaining 49%.
