Wind farm installation vessel Seajacks Scylla has arrived at the Port of Esbjerg, Denmark, to undergo demobilization.
The works in Esbjerg come after the 139-meter-long vessel installed the last of the 87 wind turbines at the Walney Extension offshore wind farm last month.
Located some 19km off the Cumbrian coast in the UK, Ørsted’s wind farm consists of 40 8.25MW MHI Vestas and 47 7MW Siemens turbines, as well as two offshore substations.
The 659MW wind farm produced its first power in September last year.
Once fully operational in the second half of 2018, Walney Extension will become the world’s largest offshore wind farm.
