SMST has equipped the Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) Eurus Express with a motion compensated gangway ahead of the vessel’s deployment on Ørsted’s Hornsea Project One offshore wind farm in the UK.
The PSV was fitted with an SMST Telescopic Access Bridge (TAB) M-series just seven days after SMST and A1 Offshore Solutions ApS signed the rental contract, SMST said.
The Eurus Express, with Grimsby as home port, is contracted by GeoSea to support the installation of transition pieces on the offshore wind farm located 120km off the Yorkshire coast.
The vessel will be performing its work for a period of 45 days, with an optional extension of the rental period.
The 1.2GW Hornsea Project One consists of 174 7MW wind turbines scheduled to be commissioned in 2020.
