RanaWorks – a joint venture company set up between Italian RANA Diving SpA and Dutch Workships Contractors BV in January 2018 – has been awarded its first contract that will see the company working on an offshore wind project in Germany.

Under the contract, RanaWorks will provide all-round above waterline support during the installation of an offshore wind farm in German territorial waters. The company did not disclose the names of the project and its client.

The works include structural repairs, installation of safety equipment, as well as paint repairs, and will be carried out by using working at height and rope access techniques, the company said.

“This new order is a confirmation by the market that we truly dive deep to rise high. I’m very proud of the commitment and efforts of the team and of the trust we have from our clients,” said Rutger Lieverse , Commercial Manager at RanaWorks.

Shortly after it was established at the beginning of this year, the company introduced a new concept for inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) in the North Sea offshore wind and oil & gas markets, which involves large floating maintenance bases, permanently stationed in the North Sea to offer subsea and above waterline O&M services.
