Swan Hunter has completed mobilization and commissioning of its new modular offshore carousel and associated equipment on board CWind’s multi-purpose barge ASV Pioneer.
According to Swan Hunter, the new basket carousel has been mobilized at 2,000t capacity, which is the smallest of four configurations, but can be extended up to 7,000t due to its modular design.
Besides the carousel, Swan Hunter provided a loading tower combined with 10t tensioner, which has been integrated with the client-specific cable highway. Completing the cable handling spread is a 15t deck mounted tensioner.
The works were done in support of CWind’s Complete Cable Care services package, which ASV Pioneer joined in April this year.
