Francis Brown Limited has delivered deck equipment fabrications to Soil Machine Dynamics Ltd (SMD) for work on offshore wind farms in the North Sea.
The UK-based fabrication and engineering company provided painted fabrications for the winch system set to operate alongside QTrencher, SMD’s cable trenching machine.
According to Francis Brown, the 60t equipment was delivered in less than 16 weeks, after which it was fully assembled with SMD’s hydraulics.
The company said it had collaborated with SMD, who engineered a unique design, to deliver the fabrications on time to meet the client’s requirements.
