Norway’s Eidesvik Offshore has extended charter contracts for two of its vessels working in the offshore wind market.

Viking Neptun will continue working for Merkur Offshore in the German North Sea until mid-May with further optional extensions.

The contract with Siemens Gamesa for the charter of Acergy Viking has been extended with one additional year and is now firm until end of January 2021 with options until end of April, Eidesvik said.

“Meeting our clients operational expectations have resulted in these extensions and we look forward to continue delivering our high quality services to them,” said Eidesvik’s CEO Jan Fredrik Meling.

Viking Neptun started a five-month charter with options on the 396MW Merkur offshore wind farm in mid-September.

Acergy Viking has been performing SOV duties for Siemens Gamesa in the German offshore wind sector since August 2016.
