Bourbon Subsea Services has shared a video showing the installation of the first turbine at the 50MW Kincardine offshore wind farm in Scotland.
The France-based company was in charge of delivering the operational scope, including towing the semi-submersible floating foundation to Dundee, pre-laying the four-leg mooring system and installing the fully assembled turbine on site.
Bourbon said its project management team worked closely together with the mooring system provider Vryhof, as well as the floating foundation designer Principle Power and main contractor Cobra Wind.

The 2MW Vestas floating turbine was towed from the Port of Dundee to the installation site some 15km offshore Aberdeen in mid-August and shortly after began producing power to the grid.
Cobra plans to install five additional floating turbines with an individual capacity of 9.6MW in the first half of 2020.
