MH-O&C has launched the newbuild crew transfer vessel (CTV) MHO Gurli which Ørsted ordered for its Hornsea Project One offshore wind farm in the UK.
The Danish company unveiled the 39m long Fast Supply Cat vessel on 27 November and plans to have it deployed on Hornsea Project One as soon as it is ready around the beginning of February.
To remind, Ørsted awarded MH-O&Co with contracts in November 2017 to supply three CTVs for the 1.2GW project.
In addition to the newbuild, MH-O&Co is responsible for providing two StratCat 26 vessels, RIX Lynx and RIX Leopard , operated by the UK-based Rix Sea Shuttle Ltd.
The contracts are expected to run until the end of 2019 with further options to extend.
MHO Gurli has a 10.3m beam, a max draft of 1.8m and is able to achieve a maximum full load speed of 21kn and workload speed of 25kn.
The CTV has a deck area of 140m², as well as 24 seats for personnel.
Located 120km off the Yorkshire Coast, the 1.2GW Hornsea Project One will comprise 174 Siemens 7MW turbines scheduled for full operation in 2020.
