SeaRoc Group has delivered the first formal marine coordination training in Taiwan to the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI).

The event, which included training on the SeaPlanner marine management software, provided the techniques and best practices for managing the safety of personnel and assets, as well as monitoring of marine operations.

“Taiwan is making significant strides in offshore wind construction, and we’re delighted to be able to support companies entering the market,” said Steve Pears , SeaRoc Group Managing Director.

“The developing Taiwanese market is taking proactive steps to ensuring they have the skilled workforce to support large-scale offshore operations and access to the tools to enable them to manage projects safely and efficiently from start to finish.”

The training in Taiwan follows SeaRoc’s marine coordination training in Japan for offshore wind personnel, which was held in September.

The initiatives are part of the international courses planned under the management of the company’s consultancy team, who is covering the topic in a series of seminars in Asia in cooperation with Tokyo Marine Insurance and Class NK.
