Energinet has launched a tender seeking a contractor to carry out a seabed survey for an offshore wind farm in Denmark.

Energinet is looking for a company to conduct site investigations at the site of the 800MW project and its export cable route in the North Sea and Baltic Seas, respectively.

The tender is divided into two lots, with Lot 1+3 including site investigations of the offshore wind farm in the two seas, which would include a geophysical survey this year and an optional hydrographical survey in the third quarter of 2020.

In Lot 2+4, the awarded company would be responsible for carrying out the site investigation of the export cable route in the two seas.

The work scope includes a geophysical survey performed in Q3 2019 of the entire cable route corridor to the 10m water-line to map, as well as from the water-line to landfall and map, after which a geotechnical campaign should be performed.

The contracts will be signed for a duration of 15 months with no subject to renewal. The deadline for submitting applications is 5 March at 12:00 local time .

Last year, the Danish parliament announced that the new energy agreement includes having the first new 800MW offshore wind farm between 2024 and 2027.

The potential sites for the project include an area close to Horns Rev 3 and Vesterhav Syd in the North Sea, or a site near Kriegers Flak in the Baltic Sea. The site decision will be taken by the end of March so that the tendering process can start in June.
