Siemens has awarded DOF Subsea with a contract on the 588MW Beatrice wind farm project offshore Scotland.
The contract will utilise the CSV Skandi Constructor and ensures deployment for the vessel until the summer, DOF Subsea said, without revealing any further details.
Siemens signed a contract to supply, install and commission 84 7MW wind turbines, and provide grid access solution for the wind farm in May 2016.
The power generated by the wind turbines will be collected and delivered to the grid via two Siemens offshore transformer modules (OTMs).
The installation of the wind turbines in the Outer Moray Firth is expected to be completed in Spring 2019 and the wind farm is scheduled to be commissioned this year.
