Green Marine has expanded its fleet by recently purchasing a Damen Twin Axe 26m long crew transfer vessel named the Green Storm.
The vessel will focus on servicing the offshore wind industry, providing transportation of personnel and cargo to offshore installations. The company said that the investment was made to meet the demands of the expanding client base in offshore wind.
Green Marine is currently implementing its safety management and maintenance systems on the Green Storm, and the masters and crew are carrying out drills and vessel familiarisation.
The company has worked on several offshore wind farms including Beatrice, Moray East and West wind farms, Hywind, East Anglia 1 and Ormonde with their other vessels. The offshore wind industry is currently going through a phase of significant expansion, resulting in increased demand for Green Marine’s services, the company said.
