Green Marine (UK) Ltd has carried out buoy maintenance on Equinor’s Hywind Scotland floating offshore wind project.
Under the contract, which was awarded by Partrac, Green Marine used its vessel Green Isle to conduct the works.
“These works were carried out safely, efficiently and on budget, utilising the small weather windows available,” said Green Marine.
Hywind Scotland is the first commercial-scale floating wind farm in the world. It comprises five Siemens 6MW turbines mounted on SPAR-type foundations and located 25km offshore Peterhead in Aberdeenshire.
The 30MW wind farm, operated by Equinor in partnership with Masdar, started delivering electricity to the Scottish grid in October 2017.
