Manor Renewable Energy (MRE) has secured a contract with EnBW to provide a temporary power package for the turbine installation phase of the Hohe See offshore wind project.
MRE said it started providing a full temporary power package of generators, personnel and vessels in the German North Sea this month.
The UK-based company is working out of the base Port of Esbjerg in Denmark.
“We have a strong track record of temporary power delivery on German offshore wind projects and with that, a huge amount of lessons learnt which we will seek to implement into our offering with EnBW and the Hohe See project,” said MRE General Manager Brett Smith .
As reported earlier , MRE purchased two crew transfer vessels (CTVs), the MPI Cervantes and MPI Cardenio, from Offshore Support Vessels BV, which are expected to soon undergo full reconditioning.
The Hohe See project will comprise a total of 71 Siemens Gamesa 7MW turbines, of which the first unit was installed recently. The 497MW offshore wind farm is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
