The Danish Energy Agency is holding a technical meeting on site investigations for the Thor offshore wind farm tender.
The event will take place on 13 May from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. local time at Denmark’s National Aquarium and will gather potential developers and relevant experts for the project.
According to the Danish Energy Agency, the dialogue will focus on the scope and depth of the planned site investigations, where interested parties can provide feedback on the proposed methodologies and expected products.
A market dialogue with potential developers on other aspects of the Thor tender, such as the time table, tender conditions, prequalification, and negotiation and bid process will be held in October.
The agency and Danish transmission system operator Energinet will hold presentations with a focus on geophysical surveys, cable surveys, geotechnical investigations, studies for UXO and archaeology, metocean studies, environmental assessments and relevant surveys.
Thor is the first of three 800MW offshore wind farms to be constructed in Danish waters before 2030.
The project will be built off Nissum Fjord in the North Sea and is expected to feature 13-15MW wind turbines set to be operational between 2024 and 2027.
