SeaRenergy has secured a five-year framework agreement by the German transmission system operator 50Hertz.
As one out of three contracted suppliers, the company will provide offshore substation technical services, as well as quality assurance and quality control cable manufacturing.
In addition, SeaRenergy will provide health, safety & environment services and client representatives and owners engineers.
“We are looking forward to extending our activities in the Baltic Sea and to supporting 50Hertz in expanding its transmission system in the coming years,” SeaRenergy said in its announcement.
50Hertz is one of four electricity TSOs in Germany and is responsible for the construction and operation of offshore infrastructure which connects wind farms in the German Baltic Sea to the national grid.
