Siemens Gamesa has selected Green Wind to organise and supervise all switching operations during the commissioning of the offshore transformer platform and the wind turbines at the 112MW EnBW Albatros wind farm in the German North Sea.
The transformer platform and the wind farm’s 16 Siemens Gamesa 7MW turbines are scheduled to be commissioned by the end of 2019, the Berlin-based Green Wind said.
Green Wind’s scope of services also includes the simulation of planned switching processes, the monitoring of commissioning by remote and partially on-site communication, and the creation and dynamic adaptation of all necessary switching programs.
In addition, the entire network structure is mapped within the Green Wind control room software in the form of a so-called “digital twin,” and prepared for manual control and optional telecontrol.

The EnBW Albatros wind farm is being built some 104 kilometres off the coast of Germany, in the immediate vicinity of the 497MW EnBW Hohe See offshore wind farm. The two projects are being built as one and are due to be put into operation by the end of 2019.
