Ørsted has awarded WSP with a contract to provide engineering services for the Changhua 1 and 2a offshore wind project in Taiwan.
Located 35 to 50 kilometers off the coast of Changhua County, the Changhua 1 and 2a offshore wind farms will have a total capacity of approximately 900MW.
The projects will be led by WSP’s local team in Taiwan, with support from the firm’s US-based offshore wind team.

The Changhua 1 & 2a wind farms will feature 112 Siemens Gamesa 8MW wind turbines installed on jacket foundations. The offshore construction of the projects will commence in 2021.
