Fugro’s Board of Management has appointed Erik-Jan Bijvank as Group Director for Europe and Africa.
With this latest appointment, Fugro said it completes its new executive leadership team, which was established as of 1 May, consisting of the Board of Management, four regional Group Directors and several functional Group Directors.
Bijvank, who previously worked at Stork, a Fluor company, will take over the position beginning from 1 January 2020.
“We are pleased to welcome Erik-Jan Bijvank to Fugro as our new Group Director for Europe and Africa. Erik-Jan has extensive experience in managing complex technical projects in the energy industry and other international market segments,” said Mark Heine , CEO of Fugro.
From 2012 to 2017, Bijvank was Senior Vice President for Stork UK and Africa, and a member of the Global Management Team, while last year he took over the Regional Vice President position at Stork International.

In the offshore wind sector, Fugro most recently secured a contract to provide geotechnical investigation services, including lab work, in the German North Sea and the Baltic Sea from 2019 to 2022.
