Royal Boskalis Westminster has acquired the remaining 37.5% in the UAE-based Horizon Group, a provider of marine geophysical and geotechnical services.
To remind, Boskalis acquired 62.5% of the shares in Horizon Group at the beginning of the year.
Horizon will continue focusing on its position in the Middle East and Northwest Europe with opportunities to expand into the offshore wind market in the Far East making it complementary to Gardline in Northwest Europe and on the East Coast of the United States, Boskalis said.
The UAE-based company operates seven survey/geotechnical vessels, as well as five smaller survey vessels, two jack-up platforms, three motion-compensated drill towers for geotechnical services and eight ROVs.
According to Boskalis, the 2019 revenue is expected to exceed USD 100 million and the activities will be consolidated as of 2020.
