Siemens Gamesa has signed a contract with HeliService for the provision of helicopter services for offshore wind farms in the Nordic Cluster.
Under the exclusive contract signed on 1 November 2019, HeliService will service five offshore wind projects in the Nordic Cluster.
Flights are departing from HeliService’s main base in Emden, Germany, as well as Eemshaven, the Netherlands, and the personnel is being transferred directly to the offshore wind farms.
The cluster includes the Hohe See, Albatros, Borkum West 2, Global Tech 1 and Veja Mate offshore wind farms. It contains more than 420 turbines with a total output of around 2.2GW.
