The Triton Knoll Community Fund has allocated a windfall of GBP 101,670 to thirteen community projects as part of the third funding round.
Each project was selected from bids that stretched across the entire length of the project’s 57km onshore cable route, from the point of landfall near Anderby Creek to the onshore substation at Bicker Fen.
This is the third and penultimate round of awards from the GBP 500,000 One-Off Construction Fund, which was set up to operate during the two years of construction of the onshore electrical system.
The Annual Fund will take over from the construction-focused fund later in 2021 and will be available for bids from communities located near to the landfall and onshore substation locations.
The fund is currently open for round 4 bids and will close on 1 May.
Triton Knoll will feature 90 MHI Vestas 9.5MW turbines located over 32km off the Lincolnshire coast. The first turbine foundation was recently installed at the 860MW project.
