Waves Group has begun providing marine warranty surveyor (MWS) services for the Tra Vinh nearshore wind farm in Vietnam.
Waves Group is providing the services for the installation of foundations, infield cables and turbines.
The contract commenced in June and will continue until May 2021. The project will run from the company’s Singapore office with support from its offices in the UK.
Located off the coast of Vietnam, the Tra Vinh wind farm will comprise 12 Vestas V150-4.2 MW turbines. The construction of the 48 MW project officially commenced at the beginning of the year.
The project company is Tra Vinh Wind Power Company Ltd, jointly owned by Climate Investor One’s (CIO) Construction Equity Fund, a finance facility managed by Climate Fund Managers (CFM), and Korea’s Samtan.
