Vattenfall has issued a tender seeking a manufacturer of inter-array cables for the Vesterhav Syd and Nord nearshore wind farms in Denmark.

The selected party will be in charge of supplying all the required work for the inter-array cable manufacturing for the two wind farms.

The contract would start on 6 August 2021 and end on 6 April 2023.

Vattenfall is also looking for a manufacturer and supplier of replacement inter-array cables for the DanTysk offshore wind farm in Germany.

This contract would start on 10 January 2021 and end on 31 March the same year.

Additionally, the tender covers the manufacturing and delivery of spare cables for the inter-array of various offshore wind farms.

The deadline for submitting applications is 4 August by 10:00 local time.

Located nine and eight kilometers offshore, respectively, Vesterhav Syd and Vesterhav Nord will comprise a total of 41 Siemens Gamesa 8.4 MW turbines with a combined capacity of 344.4 MW.

DanTysk comprises 80 Siemens 3.6 MW turbines installed some 70km west of the German island of Sylt. The 288 MW offshore wind farm has been in operation since 2014.
