BayWa r.e. has signed an exclusive agreement to join the existing consortium of Ideol and Elicio to prepare a joint bid for Crown Estate Scotland’s ScotWind tender.
With this new partnership, BayWa r.e. is said to bring significant project development and asset management skills and presence in Scotland to strengthen the existing consortium established between Ideol and Elicio in October 2019.

Floating wind specialist Ideol has previously worked on two full-scale floating wind turbines operating in France and Japan since 2018, as well as a 30 MW pre-commercial EolMed floating wind project which is in the final consenting phase.
Elicio owns stakes in Norther, Rentel, and SeaMade wind farms in the Belgian North Sea.
BayWa r.e. has installed more than 3 GW of wind and solar projects worldwide, is the operator of a further 8.3 GW and its development portfolio includes +12 GW globally. The company has been operating in the UK renewable energy sector since 2010, and now has 138 employees across the UK, 77 of whom are based in Scotland.

Crown Estate Scotland launched the ScotWind leasing round in June.
