Financial close on the first two phases of the world’s largest offshore wind farm at Dogger Bank is expected in the coming days, SSE said.
SSE Renewables and Equinor are jointly developing the 3.6 GW Dogger Bank offshore wind project through a 50:50 joint venture company – Dogger Bank Wind Farm.
The project is divided into three 1.2 GW phases, Dogger Bank A, Dogger Bank B, and Dogger Bank C – and is located more than 130 kilometres from the Yorkshire coast, the UK.
Dogger Bank Wind Farm has already signed Tier 1 contracts for Dogger Bank A & B.
The first two phases will comprise 190 GE Haliade – X 13 MW wind turbines expected to deliver first power in 2023.
The wind farm is scheduled to be fully commissioned in 2026.
